About the role
n
You run the day to day operations of a locally owned Sydney roofing business. This is a hands-on role managing internal staff, contractors, and supplier relationships.
n
Key responsibilities
n
n
Schedule and roster the install crews
n
Keep subcontractors on the tools and on standard
n
Ensure jobs that go out the door match what was sold
n
Work closely with the sales team so quoting, scheduling and delivery all line up
n
Own the customer service side including complaints
n
Manage compliance from protected work paperwork through to licences and site standards




n
Manage supplier relationships, around a dozen of them
n
Hold margin through pricing, purchasing and job costing
n
n
About you
n
Operations experience from another install-based trade services business such as solar, HVAC, glazing, waterproofing, flooring, or fencing
n
Comfort with job management software
n
Understanding of install-based trade work and the people who do it
n
The key is understanding install-based trade work and the people who do it. Whether you have run the crews, run the schedule, or run the whole business.
