HammondCare Home Care is currently looking for Casual Carers to join our team in Gymea Bay Respite Cottages based in Gymea Bay in the Sutherland Shire Region.

The Opportunity
n
HammondCare's Respite Cottages provide short-term accommodation and individualised support for older guests during stays of up to 10 nights. As a Specialised Carer, you'll play a vital role in delivering personalised care and creating a welcoming, home-like environment.
n
Please note: Rosters available may not suit student visa due to hour restrictions. Unlimited work rights will be highly regarded.
n
About the role
n
Hourly Rates: $***** to $***** base + Super + Casual Loading
n
Casual Shifts include
n
n
7.15am-***** - Morning shift
n
*************- Afternoon shift
n
************- Night shift
n
n
*** Ideally you will be able to work a mix of the above shifts
n
Responsibilities
n
n
Provide personal care including grooming and hygiene
n
Deliver care in accordance with individual care plans
n
Support and care for guests during overnight or extended stays
n
Promote guest dignity and independence through daily activities
n
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate changes in care professionally
n
In some cases, you'll have an opportunity to go offsite and provide care and supervision for our Clients,



and this would mean having the capacity to drive a 12-Seater Bus (standard drivers license)
n

What do you need to apply?
n
n
Australian Drivers license
n
No formal qualification is necessary; however, Certificate III Individual Support is an advantage
n
Available to work a mix of the above mentioned shifts
n
First Aid certificate desirable
n
Empathy and compassion are a must
n
We provide job training as long as you have the willingness and desire to learn
n
Good administrative and computer skills, including the use of a smartphone
n
A strong team player, who can communicate professionally changes in care, complete all documentation, whilst maintaining confidentiality.
n
