Monday to Friday during term time, 8:00am - 2:30pm (with optional additional function activities)

Join Gather by Cater Care as a Catering Assistant, supporting the busy kitchen team at one of our education sites.
n
This hands-on hospitality role involves assisting our chefs with the preparation and service of fresh, high-quality meals for boarding students throughout the school term. We are looking for someone who is friendly, approachable, and confident engaging with high school students, creating a positive and welcoming dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Assist with food preparation, meal service, and buffet setup and pack down
n
Provide friendly and efficient customer service to students and staff
n
Operate point-of-sale systems, process transactions,



and manage stock supplies
n
Maintain clean, secure, and well-presented kitchen and dining areas, including dishwashing duties
n
Follow strict food hygiene and safety standards at all times
n

Skills and Experiences:
n
About You
n
n
Previous catering or hospitality experience with a friendly and confident approach to customer service
n
Reliable, approachable, and team-focused, with strong communication and presentation skills
n
Confident in engaging with customers, including high school students, and creating a positive dining experience
n
Current driver's licence and own vehicle required
n
A Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain)
