Job Type: Permanent position | Full time position
MOONCHILD HOLDINGS PTY LTD is seeking an experienced and motivated Chef to join our team in Prahran, Victoria.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to a consistently high standard while maintaining quality, presentation and food safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, season and cook food according to recipes and menu requirements.
Plan and organise food preparation and cooking activities.
Monitor the quality, freshness and presentation of food.
Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety.
Assist with menu preparation and development where required.
Manage food preparation during busy service periods.
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients.




Minimise food wastage and maintain appropriate portion control.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen environment.
Work cooperatively with kitchen and other staff members.
Skills and Experience
Relevant commercial cooking experience.
Relevant qualification in commercial cookery or equivalent experience.
Good knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and food safety.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
Robust organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, professional and committed approach to work.
Prahran, VIC **** Salary: $80,000–$85,000 per annum + superannuation
