Job Description
A growing automotive dealership in the Barossa Valley is looking for a capable General Manager to take ownership of the operation and lead it through its next stage of development.

This is a senior leadership role for someone who wants genuine responsibility, not another layer of management.
n
The business is continuing to grow in both volume and headcount and needs a leader who can bring structure, accountability and energy across the entire dealership.
n
You'll work closely across both sales and fixed operations, supporting department leaders, developing people, improving performance and maintaining a strong focus on customer outcomes.
n
This is also a hands-on role.
n
The successful person will be visible throughout the business, comfortable making decisions, solving operational issues and working directly with teams rather than managing from behind a desk.
n
You may already be operating as a General Manager in a regional dealership, or you could be a strong General Sales Manager, Fixed Operations Manager, Aftersales Manager or commercially focused dealership leader ready to take the next step.
n
What matters most is leadership, attitude and the ability to take ownership.
n
You'll need sound commercial judgement, strong people skills and enough dealership knowledge to confidently work across multiple departments.
n
The current team is approximately 15 people,



with further growth expected over the coming years. Retail volumes are also building, creating a strong prospect for the incoming General Manager to influence how the business develops.
n
There is genuine progression available for the right person. As the operation grows, this position has the potential to develop toward broader Dealer Principal-level responsibility.
n
Remuneration will be structured around the successful candidate's experience and capability, with a competitive base package, performance incentives and vehicle expected to form part of the overall offer.
