Job Description
Head of School Engagement & Partnerships
n
Reporting into the leadership team, you will take ownership of building relationships across the Australian education ecosystem.
n
You will combine high-level strategic thinking with relentless on-the-ground engagement, spending significant time in schools, meeting education leaders and building relationships with the organisations that influence the sector.
n
You will help shape how the platform enters the market, how schools adopt it and how we build a national network of flagship school partners and advocates. Frequent interstate travel will be a core part of the role.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Own and execute the national school engagement and adoption strategy.
n
Build a strong pipeline of Independent, Catholic and Government school partnerships across Australia.
n
Develop relationships with Principals, Heads of School, Deputy Principals, CIOs, Heads of IT, curriculum leaders, advancement teams and other key decision-makers.
n
Personally lead school meetings, presentations, demonstrations, workshops and stakeholder engagement.
n
Identify and secure pilot, foundation and flagship school partnerships.
n
Build deep strategic relationships with education bodies, school associations, networks and other industry stakeholders.
n
Develop partnerships with Independent Schools associations, Catholic education networks and other influential sector organisations nationally.
n
Create advocates and champions within the education community.
n
Represent the platform at education conferences, forums, industry events and school leadership gatherings.
n
Work closely with product and leadership teams to bring direct school feedback into product development and strategy.
n
Develop scalable engagement models that can support progression from early adoption to nationwide rollout.
n
Track engagement, pipeline, conversion and adoption activity against ambitious national growth targets.
n
Help shape the long-term commercial and partnership strategy in Australia and, ultimately, internationally.
n
Who We Are Looking For
n
You will likely have built your career inside the Australian education ecosystem and possess a strong understanding of how schools make decisions.
n
You could currently be working in school leadership, education partnerships, school development, stakeholder engagement, EdTech, an education association or another senior role that has given you extensive exposure to schools.
n
More importantly, you will have the energy and drive to build something from the ground up.
n
A genuine relationship builder who can establish credibility quickly with school leaders.
n
Highly connected within the Australian school ecosystem or capable of rapidly developing those networks.
n
Commercially minded while understanding that meaningful school relationships are built on trust.
n
Comfortable walking into a school, meeting a Principal and articulating a compelling vision.
n
Equally comfortable presenting to an industry body,
association executive or national education stakeholder.
n
Exceptionally proactive, resourceful and persistent.
n
Comfortable operating in a fast-moving scale-up setting where you will help create the playbook rather than simply follow one.
n
Strategic enough to help shape national adoption strategy but hands-on enough to personally make the calls, organise the meetings and get in front of schools.
n
Passionate about education and the chance for technology to create better outcomes for students, families and schools.
n
Experience We Value
n
Significant experience within the Australian school or education sector.
n
Strong understanding of Independent, Catholic and/or Government school environments.
n
Existing senior relationships across schools or education bodies will be highly regarded.
n
Demonstrated experience in partnerships, stakeholder engagement, business development or institutional relationship management.
n
Experience introducing new initiatives, programs or technology into schools would be particularly valuable.
n
Strong presentation, communication and negotiation skills.
n
Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout Australia.
n
What Success Looks Like
n
Within this role, success will mean building far more than a sales pipeline. You will establish a national community around the platform. You will create flagship partnerships with respected schools, establish relationships with the organisations that shape Australian education, develop advocates across the sector and create a repeatable pathway to scale from school to school, network to network and state to state.
