Business Development Manager - C&I; Battery Energy Storage

Location: Australia (Open to: NSW, VIC, QLD, SA)

Our client is one of the most exciting names in global battery energy storage right now: a European engineered manufacturer scaling fast, with a footprint already spanning more than 30 countries and no signs of slowing down. As they push further into Australia's booming C&I; sector, they need a Business Development Manager who wants more than a sales role. They want someone to own the market.

This is a genuine origination role: you spot the opportunity, you build it, and you close it. You'll be selling a product with real technical differentiation, backed by an engineering team that can back up every claim you make in the room, and a business that trusts you to run your own patch and make it your own.

What you will do
n
n
Identify and win C&I; BESS opportunities across EPCs, developers, contractors, energy service providers and major energy users
n
Take ownership of partner strategy, growing a strong customer network
n
Get to the heart of what customers actually need: load profiles, tariffs, resilience, sustainability goals and commercial drivers
n




Work hand in hand with the engineering team on sizing, operating strategy and solution design
n
Take proposals and negotiations all the way to signature, protecting both margin and delivery standards
n

What you will bring
n
n
A track record in C&I; business development or solution sales, particularly in BESS. Alternativley, commercial solar, power conversion, electrical infrastructure or energy services.
n
A genuine network across EPCs, developers, electrical contractors, energy service companies or commercial energy customers.
n
Solid understanding of the NEM, including how settlement and tariffs shape a deal.
n
Experience closing projects up to 5MW in scale.
n
Full working rights in Australia and a current driver's licence.
