The Role
n
As Group Financial Controller, you'll play a key senior finance leadership role with responsibility for the integrity of the Group's financial reporting, statutory compliance, financial control environment, treasury and core finance operations.
n
Key duties will include (but not be limited to):
n
n
Lead, develop and mentor a finance team of 4 direct and 9 indirect reports
n
Lead Group financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, annual and consolidated reporting across all entities
n
Own the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger, balance sheet and financial data
n
Lead the Group financial control framework, ensuring robust controls, governance and financial integrity across the organisation
n
Oversee treasury, cash flow, liquidity, working capital, banking arrangements and associated financial risk and controls
n
Lead statutory reporting and external audit processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements and Group policies
n
Provide high-quality financial analysis, advice and reporting to the CFO and Executive Leadership Team
n
Provide leadership and oversight of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, driving effective working capital management, controls and process improvement
n
Partner with senior stakeholders on key business initiatives, providing financial insight and support to commercial decision-making
n
Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, systems (including AI projects), controls and reporting, improving efficiency and effectiveness across the Group
n
Partner with the Tax Manager, providing financial information and support across tax governance and compliance requirements
n

Your Background
n
In order to be considered for this Group Financial Controller role you will meet the following criteria:
n
n
Be professionally qualified (e.g. CA, ACA or equivalent)
n
Ideally commenced your career within an audit firm, providing a strong grounding in technical accounting, financial reporting and controls
n
Experience within a multi-entity or Group environment
n
Strong technical accounting, statutory reporting, consolidation and Group financial control experience
n
Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, treasury, audit, financial governance and internal control requirements
n
Strong people leadership experience, with the ability to develop finance teams and influence senior stakeholders across the organisation
n
ERP and finance systems capability with experience driving process improvements
n
Excellent analytical capability, commercial judgement, communication and stakeholder management skills
