Job Description
A fast-scaling, mission-driven company is rebuilding its Australian IT function from the ground up and this role is a big part of that rebuild. This is roughly 80% project work, 20% BAU support (think 1-2 tickets a day, not a queue you're chained to). You'll own security operations and identity management for AU, working directly alongside the Head of IT, with real input into how a newly-forming, distributed team (AU, US, India) sets its standards from scratch.

The bigger picture: IT here is shifting from "protect the business" to "enable the business" shipping laptops and standing up systems for new teams and current locations, not just locking things down.

What you'll actually be doing:

Own and administer Okta; SSO, MFA, identity and access policies, SaaS app integration.
n
Contribute to CrowdStrike EDR operations and Jamf device compliance.
n
Run access reviews and collect audit evidence.
n
Improve and automate IT workflows (AI and automation genuinely encouraged, not just tolerated).
n
Coordinate with SaaS vendors and support onboarding, laptop procurement, and account setup.
n
Pitch in on service desk work when it comes up; low volume, high trust.

What you'll bring:
n

3–5 years in IT systems administration with genuine security operations exposure.
n
Hands‐on Okta experience (identity & access management).
n
Jamf and CrowdStrike (or equivalent EDR/MDM) experience.
n
Google Workspace administration.
n
MFA/2FA policy and access‐review/audit‐evidence experience.
n
Comfortable working in the same time zone as your manager, with occasional flexibility for global stand ups.
n
A learner's attitude; genuine gaps are fine if you're closing them.

Nice to have:
n
Auth0 or similar SaaS identity platforms, Active Directory/Azure background, a track record of automating your own workflows out of existence.
