We're looking for an experienced Technical Lead - Data Engineering to join a major enterprise data transformation and lead the technical delivery of two strategic data initiatives.

This is a hands-on Technical Lead role for someone who enjoys staying close to the technology while taking ownership of solution design, technical direction and engineering delivery.

You'll work across a modern AWS and Databricks workplace, partnering with architects, engineers and business stakeholders to turn requirements into scalable, production-ready data solutions.

You'll work across a modern AWS and Databricks environment, partnering with architects, engineers and business stakeholders to turn requirements into scalable, production-ready data solutions.

Responsibilities
n
n
Lead the technical design and delivery of enterprise data engineering solutions.
n
Translate business requirements into detailed technical designs and Low-Level Designs (LLDs).
n
Design scalable and secure data solutions using Databricks and AWS.
n
Remain hands-on across development,



implementation and code reviews.
n
Design and deliver modern data pipelines and ETL/ELT solutions.
n
Provide technical direction and mentoring to Data Engineers.
n
Work closely with architecture, business and delivery stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
n
Ensure solutions meet enterprise architecture, security and data governance standards.
n
Support testing, deployment and production implementation.
n

Requirements
n
n
Solid experience as a Technical Lead, Lead Data Engineer within complex enterprise environments.
n
Deep hands-on Databricks experience is essential.
n
Experience with some of the following Databricks capabilities - must have at least 2 to 3 things:n
n
Databricks Genie
n
Semantic modelling
n
Managed MCP Servers
n
Vector Stores / Vector Search indexes
n
Lakebase
n
n
Robust AWS data engineering experience, ideally across S3, Glue, Lambda, EMR or related services.
n
Strong development skills across Python, SQL and/or Spark.
n
Proven experience designing modern data platforms, pipelines and scalable data architectures.
n
Experience producing detailed LLDs and technical specifications.
n
Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
n
Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
