We're seeking compassionate Disability Support Workers to assist participants with daily living, personal care, and community access in Toowoomba. You'll support people living with mental illness, intellectual, or physical disabilities - helping them live independently and achieve their personal goals.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Provide high-quality support in line with participant care plans
n
Assist with personal care, including hygiene, dressing, and mobility
n
Support meal preparation, medication prompts, and household tasks
n
Promote independent living skills and daily routine management
n
Facilitate community access - attending appointments, recreational, and social activities
n
Encourage positive behaviour support and emotional wellbeing
n




Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in line with NDIS standards
n
Communicate effectively with participants, families, and allied health professionals
n
Follow all safety, infection control, and privacy protocols
n
Contribute to a supportive, inclusive, and respectful team setting
n

Requirements
n
n
Certificate III/IV in Individual Support, Disability, or Community Services (students welcome)
n
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
n
Driver's Licence (own vehicle with insurance preferred)
n
WWCC/Blue Card, First Aid & CPR, and National Police Check
n
COVID-19 vaccination in line with current health directives
