About the roles
n
GEO Healthcare provides primary healthcare to men in Public Prisons across Victoria.
n
Nurses employed by GEO Healthcare work to deliver high-quality patient care to men in Victoria's public prisons. Nurses deliver health services which enhance and promote the health of people in prison through evidence-based, comprehensive and professional nursing care within a prison setting.
n
Opportunities exist for Full-time and Part Time (night shift 21:30-7:30) at Ravenhall Correctional Centre.
n
Nursing Staff will be employed under the terms of an Enterprise Agreement. Terms and conditions provided by this Agreement include:
n
n
Enrolled Nurse salary range $74.5k - $77.4k (Based on Full time) pro-rata amount for Part Time position with penalties for night shift paid in addition to this.
n
Annual increments to salary for Enrolled and Registered nurses.
n
Competitive Shift and Weekend Allowances.

Appropriate nursing qualifications and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
n
Minimum one years of post-registration clinical experience.
n
Ability to work without direct, immediate supervision in performing the role.
n
Ability to plan and coordinate patient care.
n
Competence in clinical and problem-solving skills.
n
Ability to work within multi-disciplinary team.
n
Ability to contribute to the professional practice within the health facility.
n
Competence in written and verbal communication skills. Basic level of computer literacy.
n
Clinical experience in a primary health care is desirable.

Other Requirements of the role:
n
n
Ability to work within a prison setting, which will involve direct contact with people in prison associated with the delivery of healthcare.
n
Satisfactory completion of a National Criminal History Check.
n
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
n
Working outside of ordinary business hours may be required.
n
Hold an immunisation provider certificate or be willing to work towards obtaining certification
n
