Southern Highlands Private Hospital is an acute medical and surgical hospital, owned and operated by Ramsay Health Care.
A 73 bed private hospital co-located with Bowral and District Hospital, Southern Highlands Private Hospital provides an extensive range of onsite medical, surgical, rehabilitation, oncology and palliative care services for the community of the Southern Highlands and beyond to the regional and rural areas.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Allied Health Assistant to join our team on acasual basis.
About the Role
In this rewarding role, you will provide essential clinical and non-clinical support to our Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and other Allied Health professionals.
You'll work alongside a collaborative team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and improving health outcomes at Southern Highlands Private Hospital.
As an Allied Health Assistant, you will be instrumental in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation and therapy goals while maintaining a supportive and inclusive environment.
Assist Allied Health professionals in managing a diverse range of patients requiring inpatient, day-only, or outpatient therapy services
Conduct group activities, exercise sessions, and individual treatments as directed by supervising clinicians
Prepare and organize therapy areas, equipment, and materials to ensure secure and efficient treatment delivery
Provide patient escorting and transportation support to and from gymnasium and therapy areas
Inspect, maintain, and ensure the safety and functionality of mobility aids and rehabilitation equipment
Follow and implement therapy programs as directed by physiotherapists and other Allied Health professionals
Assist with departmental and service administrative tasks, including resource management and documentation
Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail in all clinical and administrative responsibilities
Complete ad-hoc tasks as required to support departmental operations
About You
Willingness to work under the supervision of an Allied Health practitioner
Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage workload demands and priorities
Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of customers
Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
Demonstrated ability to provide excellence in customer service
