As a Procurement Officer, you will play a key role in supporting maintenance projects through the procurement, hire, and expediting of goods and services. You will also monitor supplier performance, provide purchasing guidance and support to engineering staff, and assist the estimating team by sourcing pricing information for tender submissions.
Based in Brisbane, this fixed-term position involves partnering with project teams to coordinate purchasing requirements, specifications, and delivery schedules, while ensuring the accurate processing of purchasing transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing and expediting of goods/services for maintenance projects
Liaising with project staff to determine purchasing requirements, specifications and supply schedules
Performing data entry associated with the recording & receipting of purchasing transactions
Monitoring supplier performance
Providing advice, training and support to all engineering staff in relation to purchasing
Assisting the estimating team in obtaining prices for inclusion in tenders
What you’ll bring:
Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain or an administrative/project support environment within the resources, oil & gas or project sector.
Positive organisational skills and attention to detail.
Positive written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow through on actions.
Previous exposure to purchase orders, supplier expediting or procurement processes.
Exposure to ERP/procurement systems.
