To efficiently manage and organise the preparation of purchase orders, monitor supply sources and negotiate pricing with suppliers.
Key responsibilities
Procure raw materials, packaging components, consumables, and other operational requirements in line with business needs.
Create, manage, and maintain purchase orders through both manual and MRP-generated processes.
Liaise with suppliers to obtain pricing, confirm lead times, track orders, and follow up on backorders.
Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate lead time data within the inventory management system.
Ensure timely delivery of goods and proactively communicate potential supply issues, stock outages, or delays to internal stakeholders.
Build and maintain effective supplier relationships to support quality, service, cost, and continuity of supply.
Source and evaluate recent suppliers and alternative supply options to mitigate supply risk and support business requirements.
Work with suppliers to ensure the most appropriate and cost-effective materials are utilised.
Monitor material quality and coordinate product returns or corrective actions where supplied goods do not meet specifications.
Support warehouse operations by assisting with stock receipting processes and providing training where required.
About you
Unrestricted and ongoing right to work in Australia
Advanced Excel skills with the ability to process and analyse data quickly and effectively
Ability to manage own workload, meet deadlines and remain focussed
Excellent attention to detail, problem solving, planning and analytical skills
Experience understanding of MS Office with robust technical skills, with proficiency in MRS and data management tools
Self-motivated
Demonstrated understanding of GMP & WHS requirements
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Ability to build and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders internal and external
