I’m seeking an experienced Rigger to join a shutdown team at a major steelworks facility in the Illawarra region. This is a outstanding opportunity for a skilled Rigger to secure ongoing shutdown work with a reputable operation, working alongside an experienced crew on a large-scale industrial site.

What's on offer:
$50 per hour + penalties
Immediate start
One week shutdown setup with potential for further work

Major industrial site with well-established processes

Responsibilities:
Rigging and dogging duties to support shutdown activities
Lifting, moving, and positioning heavy plant, equipment, and structural steel
Setting up and operating cranes, hoists, and other lifting equipment safely




Reading and interpreting lift plans and rigging diagrams
Working at heights as required for shutdown tasks
Conducting pre-start checks on rigging gear and equipment
Working closely with the shutdown team to meet project deadlines
Adhering to all site safety procedures and requirements

Licences/Experience required:
Rigger/Dogman Licence
Working at Heights certification
White Card
Previous shutdown experience preferred
Solid understanding of site safety requirements
