12 Month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC). About the Role: I am seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join an established real estate asset manager on a 12 month fixed-term contract (FTC). This role will sit within a high-performing finance team and support the financial reporting and accounting requirements across a portfolio of funds.

The position requires strong technical accounting capability, particularly across financial reporting and tax distribution calculations, along with the ability to manage key reporting processes across multiple funds.
n
You will work closely with senior finance leadership and play a key role in supporting the month-end, half-year and year-end reporting cycles, while ensuring accuracy and compliance across financial reporting obligations.
n
Importantly, this role is not purely focused on completing the existing reporting cycle. You will be encouraged to take a wider view of the end-to-end processes and systems, identify opportunities for improvement and help strengthen the way reporting and accounting processes operate across the portfolio.

This role will suit someone who is technically robust, detail-oriented and enjoys looking beyond the numbers to improve processes, systems and ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare financial reports and fund financial statements
n
Support monthly management reporting and analysis
n
Perform tax distribution calculations and related reporting
n
Assist with month-end, half-year and year-end reporting processes
n
Prepare management reports and financial analysis
n
Support distribution calculations and related disclosures
n
Review existing finance processes and systems from an end-to-end perspective, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy and controls
n
Contribute to process improvement initiatives across fund accounting and financial reporting
n
Liaise with internal stakeholders and external service providers as required
n

Skills & Experience
n
n
CA or CPA qualified
n
Approximately 6–8+ years' accounting experience
n
Strong financial reporting experience
n
Experience within funds management, asset management or financial services preferred
n
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
n
An improvement mindset, with experience identifying and implementing process improvements
n
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
n
Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of key deliverables
