We are seeking a Cremator Operator to join our Pet Aftercare Services team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring pets are cared for with dignity and professionalism, supporting families during an incredibly important time.
n
We are seeking applicant who are open to work in either shifts from Monday to Friday; 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
n
About the Role
n
As a Cremator Operator, you will support the cremation process from start to finish, working closely with the Cremation, Prep and Client Care teams. This is a physically active, operational role that also requires empathy, attention to detail, and adherence to strict safety and quality standards.
n
You'll be working in a structured, process‐driven environment where accuracy, safety, and respect are paramount.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Operate cremation and ashes processing equipment in line with procedures
n
Load, operate and monitor cremators safely and efficiently
n
Assist with unloading, sorting and managing pets within cool rooms
n
Carry out private and communal cremations with care and precision
n
Mill and prepare ashes, ensuring quality assurance standards are met
n
Maintain accurate records, tagging and data entry for all cremations
n
Support client interactions,



including greeting families for viewings when required
n
Assist with collection and delivery of pets and ashes as needed
n
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and WH&S; compliance
n
Perform basic equipment maintenance and report faults or hazards
n

About You
n
n
Comfortable working in a high‐temperature, industrial setting
n
Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks
n
Experience using machinery, equipment or power tools (highly regarded)
n
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
n
Calm, reliable and able to work positively under pressure
n
Confident using basic computer systems and technology
n
Team‐oriented with explicit, respectful communication skills
n
n
Experience in cremation, manufacturing, trades, warehousing, logistics, veterinary, animal care, or similar operational roles will be well regarded.
