In this role, you will:
n
n
Assess development and certification applications and provide expert advice on building, planning and regulatory matters.
n
Undertake inspections,



monitor compliance and investigate building and development matters.
n
Deliver regulatory enforcement functions, including notices, orders, legal proceedings and stakeholder engagement.
n

What you'll bring
n
n
Registration as a Registered Certifier (Building Surveying) under the Building and Development Certifiers Act ****, or eligibility to obtain registration at the appropriate level.
n
Extensive experience as a Building Surveyor or in a similar role, supported by relevant tertiary qualifications recognised under NSW legislation.
n
Demonstrated knowledge of relevant NSW legislation, regulations and the National Construction Code.
n
Excellent communication, organisational, time management, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
n
Current Class C Driver Licence.
n

What we offer?
n
Salary: Commencing salary circa $98,300 - $108,000 p.a. plus superannuation. (dependent on skills and experience)
n
Location: This position will be based at our Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya at 2 Biripi Way, Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.
n
Tenure: Permanent, Full Time.
