The Communications Teamis responsible fordelivery of an integrated communications strategy with ownership of brand,content,channelsandanalytics to deliver on core organisational drivers including:
Promoting the positive contribution of Queensland's local government sector
Supporting a robust and influential peak body advocating on behalf of councils across the state
Connecting members withtimely, relevantinformation,updatesandsector insights.
As the Senior Digital Marketing Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the LGAQs digital growth and effectiveness across member and public facing digital channels, as well as supporting marketing and communications activities for key products and services associated with the LGAQ brand, including the Local Government Mutual Schemes (LGMS).
Reporting to the Communications Operations Manager and working within the Communications Team, you will help ensure LGAQ's digital channels, campaigns and customer journeys are integrated, effective and aligned with best practice.
The role works collaboratively with teams across the Association toassistwith a range of service offerings and may require some out ofhourswork, which could occur at short notice.
The successful candidate will be a collaborator, listener and team player, have a successfultrack recordof increasing engagement through digital marketing, andpossessa proven ability to ensure delivery of communications and marketing initiatives that satisfy client expectations.

Occasional air and road travel isrequired, including driving a hire vehicle unaccompanied at times.
A current Queensland open driver's licence, with the ability to drive day or night and comply with any licence conditions, is required.
Key Responsibilities
Support the LGAQ's digital growth and effectiveness across member and public facing digital channels.
Develop digital marketingplanscontainingprovenand contemporary marketing strategies to build audience engagement with LGAQ content and campaigns.
Track and analyse the effectiveness of digital marketing initiatives, andidentifyand implement opportunities for improvement, working closely with member engagement and intelligence teams.
Work with outsourced agencies to create and manage digital advertising in support of theAssociationsobjectives.
Work to support the Communications Teaminestablishing,maintainingandimproving brand recognition for LGAQ, LGMS and other LGAQ services across digital platforms.
Coordinate the delivery of communication and marketing activities supporting the LGAQs products and services.
Gather informationtoidentifyopportunities,insights,conclusionsandrecommendations internally for continuous improvement of the Association's brands and representation.
Undertake core tasks including updating websitecontent,preparingandsending EDM's,initiatingSMS alerts, maintaining content in the Digital Asset Management (DAM)systemand supporting and growing theLGxnetwork.
Fly and/or drive to member sites or other locations, asrequired.
About You
To be successful in this role you willhave:
Tertiary qualifications in digital marketing or a related field togetherwithdemonstratedexperiencein growing brand recognition and reputation through digital marketing strategies.
Proven high-level communication (written and verbal) skills along with content creation experience across multiple communication channels.
Proven successful accountcoordination/managementexperience and ability to develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience with electronic direct mail (EDM) creation and execution, including list management.
Experience in, or the ability to quickly learn, utilisation of customer relationship management relationship (CRM)/contact databases for targeted marketing purposes.
Demonstrated utilisation of social media platforms, graphic designsoftwareand web content management systems (CMS) for generating marketing assets.
Data gathering,interpretation,testingandanalytics along with report writing for demonstration of success and challenges of marketing campaigns.
Desire to continue building skills to improve specialist capabilities and to enable delivery of all core team tasks.
Whilst not essential, an understanding of local government or insurance services will be well regarded.
A current Queensland unrestricted open driver's licence including the ability to drive unaccompanied day or night andcomply withlicence conditions.
