About the role
n
The Recovery Practitioner, Accommodation provides person-centred, trauma-informed and recovery support to single adult women and single young pregnant and/or parenting women who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness. This role is embedded within a specialist women and families homelessness program and works primarily with vulnerable women impacted by homelessness, trauma, and domestic and family violence. Demonstrated experience working within women-only or gender-responsive services and supporting vulnerable women is highly desirable.

Working from a strengths-based framework, you will empower women to build stability, resilience and independence through case management, practical assistance, and connection to community supports.
n
This role will involve both individual and group-based support, including developing case plans, facilitating workshops, and helping Adult women transition successfully into safe and sustainable housing. Approximately 65% of your work will focus on adult women, with the remainder supporting young mothers and their families.
n

This position is a Permanent Full time role based at our Women's Housing and Homeless Services at Toowong, QLD.

Responsibilities
n
n
Deliver high quality, client case management and support services.
n
Undertake assessments, develop case plans and facilitate goal setting using trauma-informed approaches.
n
Support women and young mothers to access safe housing, develop life skills, and enhance wellbeing and self-determination.
n
Facilitate group activities and workshops promoting personal development, parenting skills, and community connection.
n
Maintain accurate and timely documentation, reports, and case notes in line with ASQ standards.
n
Build collaborative relationships with internal teams, housing providers and community agencies.
n
Participate in team meetings, supervision, and continuous improvement initiatives to support service excellence.
n
Uphold Anglicare's values and promote safety, respect and dignity in all interactions.

Qualifications, Credentials and Requirements
n
n
Degree in Social Work, Human Services or related field, and/or equivalent practical experience in the homelessness sector.
n
Demonstrated experience providing case management and assessment support to adult and young women at risk of homelessness.
n
Understanding and application of Trauma Informed and Recovery Oriented practice.
n
Experience delivering intervention strategies relating to family support, homelessness, and at-risk women and children.
n
Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation and relationship building skills.
n
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
n
Competent in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new systems.
n
Current Blue Card (Working with Children).
n
Current Queensland Driver Licence.
n
