n We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with strong C/C++ skills to join a highly technical team developing advanced technology for complex operational environments.
n This is an opportunity to work on technically challenging projects involving communications, RF technologies and embedded systems.

The Opportunity
n
Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will contribute to the development of embedded software and systems that sit at the intersection of software, electronics and communications technology.
n You'll be involved in a mix of new development, integration and problem solving, with the opportunity to work across the full engineering lifecycle.
n Depending on your experience, your work may include:
n
n
Developing embedded software using C and C++
n
Working with embedded Linux environments
n
Developing real-time software for communications and signal-processing applications
n
Integrating software with hardware and other embedded systems
n
Designing and implementing software interfaces and communications protocols
n
Debugging and optimising software running on embedded platforms
n
Working closely with hardware, FPGA, RF and systems engineers
n
Supporting integration, testing and verification
n
Contributing to the design and development of new technologies and prototypes
n
Investigating complex technical problems and developing practical solutions
n
n
About You
n
We're looking for engineers who enjoy working on difficult technical problems and are comfortable operating in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
n You'll ideally bring:




n
n
2+ years' experience in embedded software development
n
Strong C/C++ programming experience
n
Experience working with embedded systems
n
Experience with Linux, ideally embedded Linux
n
An understanding of real-time software concepts
n
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
n
A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
n
n
Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:
n
n
RF or communications technology
n
Digital signal processing
n
Electronic Warfare
n
FPGA or hardware/software integration
n
Embedded networking and communications
n
ARM-based systems
n
Python, MATLAB or similar engineering tools
n
Defence or other highly regulated technology environments
n
n
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is technically curious, enjoys learning and wants to work close to the technology.
