Georges River Sailing Club is looking for a passionate and reliable Casual Cook to join our back of house team. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on cook who enjoys working in a busy hospitality workplace and takes pride in delivering high-quality food and service.

About The Role
n
Reporting to the Head Chef, you'll work as part of our BOH kitchen team to deliver high-quality, consistent food for our Bistro operations. This is a hands-on role where you'll be involved in food preparation, cooking and maintaining a clean, safe and efficient kitchen environment.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
n
n
Preparing and cooking food to a consistently high standard for Bistro service
n
Completing food preparation and cooking duties as required
n
Working efficiently within your allocated section and supporting the wider BOH kitchen team
n
Following recipes, food safety standards, kitchen procedures and company requirements
n
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
n
Ensuring kitchen equipment is used correctly, maintained and cleaned appropriately
n
Working collaboratively with the Head Chef and wider BOH team
n




Supporting the delivery of an exceptional guest experience through quality food and service
n
Contributing to a positive, cooperative and productive kitchen environment
n
n
About You
n
We're looking for someone who is passionate about food, takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a team.
n
You'll Ideally Have
n
n
Previous experience working as a Cook or in a similar commercial kitchen environment
n
Commercial Cookery qualifications and/or relevant industry experience
n
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
n
The ability to work effectively as part of a busy kitchen brigade
n
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to food quality and consistency
n
An understanding of food safety and workplace health and safety requirements
n
Flexibility to work across Bistro service, including weekends and evenings as required
n
A willingness to support your BOH colleagues and contribute to a positive workplace culture
n
Professional presentation and a commitment to high standards
n
