NTT Data are seeking an experienced Network Test Automation Engineer to join a high profile technology modernisation program delivering critical infrastructure that supports essential national services.

About the Role
n
Reporting to the Platform & Applications Lead, you will be responsible for supporting and executing verification and validation activities across the program's test environments. You will contribute to the development of automated testing frameworks, system-level test documentation, and end-to-end validation activities, ensuring solutions meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
n

Key Responsibilities
n

Develop automated test scripts to perform end-to-end network testing across defined test scenarios
n
Create and maintain system test plans, test procedures, and supporting test documentation
n
Execute and coordinate system testing activities in accordance with established processes and standards
n




Support verification and validation activities across system and service environments
n
Identify, assess, and communicate testing risks, issues, and improvement opportunities
n
Work closely with engineering, quality assurance, configuration management, and testing teams
n
Investigate and resolve technical issues using structured engineering methodologies
n
Ensure testing remains aligned to project requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle
n
Support test workplace management and configuration control activities
n
Assist with the coordination of testing activities across multiple stakeholders and suppliers
n

About You
n
You are a proactive and technically capable engineer who thrives in collaborative environments and has a strong foundation in both test automation and networking technologies.
n
n
Experience building scalable and modular test frameworks
n
Background in software testing, system testing, verification & validation, or COTS testing
n
Understanding of networking concepts and protocols including TCP/IP, BGP, IS-IS, MPLS, Firewall technologies
n
Experience developing automated test solutions and scripts
n
Previous experience in system integration, verification, or validation testing
n
Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government NV1 Security Clearance
n
PyTest, Robot Framework, and GitLab
n
Automated testing within enterprise network environments
n
Large-scale system deployment or SDLC experience
n
Validation and sustainment of test bed environments
n
Jira and Agile delivery environments
n
Experience working within highly regulated, safety critical, or security focused industries
n
Exposure to telecommunications, voice communications, VoIP, radio systems, or large networked platforms
