Project Financial Accountant - Immediate Start

The Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for but not limited to:
n

Support core financial processes across project accounting and month-end activities.
n
Prepare and process timesheet journals and other month-end adjustments.
n
Assist with cost of sales reviews and project cost allocations.
n
Identify process gaps, inconsistencies and areas that may impact financial accuracy.
n
Support the mapping, documentation and continuous improvement of finance processes.
n
Establish explicit ownership and accountability across key finance activities.
n
Improve consistency in the way processes are performed, documented and communicated.
n
Develop processes that are easier to train, hand over and transition between team members.
n
Implement regular monthly cost reporting and improve visibility of project financial performance.
n
Strengthen handoffs between finance and operational teams.
n
Reduce manual rework and improve the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes.
n
Provide stronger support for revenue recognition and overall project financial management.
n

A successful Senior Financial Accountant should have:
n
n
A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
n
Professional certification such as CA or CPA.
n
Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and regulations.
n
Experience in financial reporting and analysis.
n
Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
n
Experience in a similar role
n
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
n
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
n
