About The Company
n
Avoca Beach Hotel is a well-established, family-owned hospitality business on 15 acres in Avoca Beach on the NSW Central Coast. Operations include accommodation, Saltwater Bar & Bistro, Treetops Café, Sports Bar, Gaming and TAB facilities, event and conference spaces, and a drive-through bottle shop.

The accommodation division features 78 rooms (self-contained and motel-style) with guest facilities such as swimming pools and tennis courts. The team is dedicated to delivering exceptional service and memorable experiences for locals and visitors.

About The Opportunity
n
This live-in role supports the day-to-day operation of the accommodation business while assisting across reception, housekeeping, café operations, food and beverage service, and after-hours guest support.
n




This position is based onsite and includes responsibility for the after-hours guest assistance phone 5 nights per week. It is designed for a single person, though the accommodation may suit a couple seeking a lifestyle opportunity on the NSW Central Coast.

Reporting to the Accommodation Manager, responsibilities include:
n

Managing front desk reception enquiries via phone, email, online channels and third-party providers
n
Coordinating housekeeping staff, cleaning rosters, inventory and room availability
n
Ensuring smooth guest check-in/check-out
n
Responding to guest enquiries, requests and complaints professionally and efficiently
n
Assisting with Treetops Café operations and broader food & beverage services
n
Maintaining WHS and food safety standards
n
Assisting with weekend, public holiday and occasional evening work
n
Providing after-hours guest assistance, including late check-ins and issue resolution
n
Working closely with the Accommodation Manager, General Manager and wider team
n

About You
n
n
Previous accommodation experience in a similar role
n
Experience with RMS Reservation System, or ability to quickly learn new digital systems
n
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
n
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
n
Reliable, hands-on and proactive, with a collaborative, team-focused attitude
n
Experience with functions and events highly regarded (not essential)
n
