Job Description
We are partnering with a highly respected, nationally recognized industrial who is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Contracts Administrator to join their growing delivery team in Sydney.

This pivotal role is designed for a senior construction professional who excels at managing the financial and contractual health of complex, high-value build projects primatily in the Industrial space. In addition to driving contract compliance and procurement, the SCA wil act as a key leader within the business—mentoring junior CAs, mitigating risk, and stepping in as interim Project Manager when required.

Key Responsibilities
n
The Senior Contracts Administrator, will lead the end-to-end contractual and financial management across major projects:
n
n
Subcontractor & Head Contract Management: Lead tender evaluations, contract negotiations, awards, variation tracking, extensions of time (EOTs), and progress claims for complex builds.
n
Cost Control & Financial Reporting: Maintain strict budget control, monitor cash flow, provide accurate forecasting, and oversee project cost analysis.
n
Team Leadership & Mentorship:
Drive capability across the delivery team by guiding junior Contract Administrators and fostering a culture of high performance.
n
Risk Mitigation & Compliance: Proactively identify and resolve contractual risks, disputes, regulatory requirements, and authority/Green Star compliance.
n
Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong, trust-based relationships with clients, consultants, subbies, and internal site teams to maintain seamless project delivery.
n
Design & Program Support: Assist with design coordination, value engineering, shop drawings, and maintaining project programs.
n

Key Requirements
n
n
Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Contracts Administrator within the Australian commercial or industrial construction sector (Design & Construct experience highly regarded).
n
Leadership: Proven ability to mentor junior team members and step up to assist Project Managers on major builds.
n
Technical Skills: Deep understanding of head contracts, subcontract administration, security of payment legislation, and cost planning.
n
Systems Proficiency: Experience using modern construction management and electronic document control systems (e.g., job costing software, document control platforms, site management apps).
n
Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation tactics, sharp analytical skills, robust dispute-resolution capabilities, and strong verbal/written communication.
n
