Job Description
A major university in Sydney is seeking a Manager Apps Service (Finance) for an urgent 3 month contract to cover paternity leave.
n The manager Application Services (Finance) manages a team of functional and technical specialists responsible for the business support and operational management of the University's finance applications, platforms and associated technologies.
n Responsibilities:
n
n
Keep the seven-person team operating effectively
n
Maintain TechnologyOne Financials and connected platforms
n
Manage any critical incidents or service problems
n
Protect key finance processing dates
n
Manage vendors and outstanding escalations
n
Oversee scheduled releases and changes
n
Handle senior Finance and Technology stakeholders
n
Maintain reporting and governance
n
Leave the service in a stable position for the returning manager
n
Lead the service delivery of applications to provide efficient and effective support for the University's operational requirements and all aspects of technology consultancy, requirements analysis, design, build and configuration,
n
Test, change management and training, installation and release management, monitoring, tuning, and maintenance of associated software applications, platforms, and technologies.
n
Implement and drive ongoing analysis and review of IT services in support of the University's business needs to identify and address opportunities for value optimisation, improvement,
n
Implement the use of agreed processes, standards, methods and tools to support efficiency, effectiveness,
n
Build and maintain supplier relationships, establish service level agreements, and manage supplier
n
n

Key Skills / Experience:
n
n
Experience leading finance support functions and tech support teams
n
Experience running a team that manage an ERP / suite of financial applications - desirable
n
IT service management experience
n
Understanding of cloud based platforms
n
Technology one financials desirable
