DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIE
n
Prepare timely Statements of Advice; SOA attachments and SOA working papers and electronically file correctly for compliance purposes.
n
Collect, collate and analyse research obtained from clients and third-party providers.
n
Complete Term Deposits reviews and generate advice, if required.
n
Complete superannuation and non-superannuation investment portfolio reviews and generate advice, if required.
n
Monitor and maintain current technical reference materials, e.g. adviser guides, investment research, direct stocks model, performance statistics and Product Disclosure Statements.
n
Meet with Advisers to discuss the recommendations and any advice nuances that may impact the advice outcomes.
n
Keep abreast of market movements and raise relevant matters that may impact client advice and/or approved product list.
n
Maintain awareness of the legislative and compliance requirements for effective delivery of advice.
n
Build and maintain good relationships with internal teams for ease of administration and smooth processing.
n
Contribute to the weekly team meetings and be willing to up skill and learn more from peers.
n
KEY ATTRIBUTES, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
n
Three or more years in financial planning, exposure to Xplan.
n
Relevant tertiary qualification or progressing towards (eg. Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning) preferred but not essential.
n
Excellent attention to detail, a natural affinity with numbers.
n
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
n
Production centric attitude, ie. A good time manager.
n
Be a team player but have a strong personal motivation to succeed.
n
Have a caring and amiable disposition.
n
Be flexible and enjoy change, consider ongoing improvement as a norm.
n
Committed to personal and professional development and willingness to attending seminars and career development sessions outside business hours.
n
Desire to progress towards meeting the FASEA Code of Ethics standard.
n
