We are seeking a full-time Depot Manager to lead our Bendigo operations. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing depot operations, managing people and resources, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of services.

About the Role
n
As Depot Manager, you'll be the link between senior management and our operational teams, ensuring the depot operates safely, efficiently, and profitably while delivering exceptional customer service.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all OHS, legislative, and company requirements
n
Lead, coach and develop depot staff to achieve high performance and service excellence
n
Manage recruitment, training, workforce planning, review submitted payroll information and associated documentation, and employee development
n
Build and maintain strong customer relationships while coordinating and quoting upcoming works
n
Support business growth through customer engagement, quotations, tenders, and new opportunities
n
Coordinate resources, scheduling, vehicles, equipment, and staffing to meet operational demands
n
Oversee the maintenance, compliance, and availability of depot vehicles, plant, and equipment
n
Manage incidents, risks, audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
n
Ensure compliance with customer contracts, company policies,



and industry standards
n
Participate in an after-hours on-call roster to support customer and emergency response requirements
n
n
About You
n
You are a proactive and organised leader who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment and enjoys building strong teams and customer relationships. You do not shy away from difficult conversations and are able to act as a point of escalation when issues arise with staff and clients.
n
n
Proven experience leading a sizeable and diverse team (Traffic Management, Civil Construction, or a similar operational environment preferred)
n
Current Victorian Driver Licence
n
Current Construction White Card, or willing to obtain
n
Victorian Traffic Management tickets (Cat 2 desirable), or willing to obtain
n
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
n
Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
n
Excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving abilities
n
A customer-focused approach and a positive, can-do attitude
n
