What you can expect in a day in this role:
n
You'll work across both our Production Kitchen and Conference & Events Kitchen, preparing a diverse range of dishes using Tasmania's finest produce and fresh local ingredients. Working closely with our skilled culinary team, you'll help deliver exceptional dining experiences across conferences, events and a variety of restaurant outlets, while also having the opportunity to broaden your skills by working in different kitchen environments, including the Boardwalk Bistro and the iconic Point Revolving Restaurant.

What will you bring to the team?
n
n
Proven experience producing high-quality meals in a high-volume conference, events or bulk catering environment
n
A completed Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent trade qualification)
n
Robust knowledge of modern cookery techniques,



food preparation and presentation standards
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across teams
n
A commitment to food safety, workplace health and safety, and industry best practice
n
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and perform under pressure
n
A flexible and reliable approach to working a rotating 7-day roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
n
A passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences for conferences, events and large-scale functions
n
A keen eye for quality, consistency and attention to detail in every service
n
