Cook Shire Council is looking for a Human Resources Advisor to join our People, Performance and Safety team and provide trusted HR advice and support across the organisation.

What you'll be doing
n
No two days will be quite the same. You'll have the opportunity to:
n
n
Provide practical HR advice to Managers and Supervisors on people, performance and conduct matters.
n
Coach leaders to build their confidence and capability in managing people.
n
Interpret and apply employment legislation, industrial instruments and policies.
n
Manage end-to-end recruitment across Council.
n
Contribute to HR programs, projects and policy initiatives.
n
Work collaboratively with the broader People, Performance and Safety team.
n
n

What we're looking for
n
We're looking for someone who brings:
n
n
Tertiary qualifications in HR or a related discipline, together with substantial generalist HR experience.
n
Experience working under the Queensland industrial relations framework desirable (Qld IR Act ****).
n
The confidence to work independently and use initiative when dealing with complex or less-defined matters.
n
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
n
Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
n
A practical, proactive and customer-focused approach.
n
The ability to manage a varied caseload, meet deadlines and stay calm when things get busy.
n
Confidentiality, discretion and sound judgement.
n

Between $95,367 and $106,128 per annum

Leave Entitlements:

Superannuation:

12% Superannuation contributions
