The Opportunity
n
Our client is a large, highly regarded organisation operating within a complex and rapid-growing industry. This is a highly visible role acting as the primary finance partner to several Executive General Managers and their leadership teams. You'll take ownership of the financial performance and strategic direction of a significant portfolio, providing commercial insight and constructive challenge to influence investment, resource allocation and long-term planning decisions.

This is much broader than a traditional business partnering role. You'll operate as a trusted commercial adviser to senior executives, combining strategic finance, investment governance, financial planning and performance management to help shape key organisational decisions and drive change management.

The Challenge
n
Key responsibilities will include:
n
n
Partnering with ELT's on financial strategy, investment and commercial decision-making
n
Leading long-term financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance management across a significant portfolio
n




Developing 3-5 year financial strategies, investment roadmaps and scenario modelling
n
Providing commercial insight and constructive challenge around costs, investment decisions and resource allocation
n
Overseeing significant operating and capital investment portfolios, ensuring investment is aligned with strategic priorities and affordability
n
Reviewing business cases, investment proposals and financial assumptions
n
Managing one direct report, while leveraging broader Finance resources to deliver outcomes
n

The Expertise
n
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
n
n
CA/CPA qualification with significant experience across commercial finance, business partnering, FP&A; or strategic finance
n
A proven track record partnering with Executive-level stakeholders within a large or complex organisation
n
Strong commercial acumen with the confidence to influence, challenge and shape senior-level decision-making
n
Advanced financial modelling, analysis and business case evaluation capability
n
Strong experience across budgeting, forecasting and performance management
n
Experience overseeing significant operating or capital investment portfolios will be highly regarded
n
