We're now looking for a Senior Development Director to join the Place Delivery Group - the operational engine room translating planning vision into delivered communities across Urban Development, Greenfield Development, the Molonglo Town Centre Program, Commercial Ventures and Infrastructure Services.
n
About the role
n
You'll lead the end-to-end delivery of complex land development projects - from sales through to site settlement and delivery completion - operating with a high degree of autonomy across multiple projects and teams. You'll be the technical, commercial and stakeholder lead ensuring every project meets its Delivery Deed, Territory and SLA obligations.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
Overseeing full project lifecycles from sales process through to delivery completion, with explicit reporting to Executive, Board and Government stakeholders
n
Planning and managing timelines, budgets, milestones and resources against agreed KPIs
n
Leading delivery of complex greenfield and urban development projects aligned to Government objectives and community expectations
n
Coordinating feasibility, design development, approvals, procurement, construction and handover
n
Building and maintaining relationships with buyers, developers, contractors, government agencies and utility providers
n
Managing procurement and contract administration in line with Territory requirements, and maintaining active project risk registers
n
Coordinating multidisciplinary project teams — staff, consultants and contractors — and contributing to workforce planning and capability development
n

About you
n
You'll bring strong project delivery experience in land development, infrastructure or construction, along with recognised qualifications and/or experience in one of the following:
n
n
Engineering — 4-year (or higher) qualification accredited by Engineers Australia/Professionals Australia, plus 10+ years' relevant experience, or
n
Architecture — 3-year (or higher) qualification accredited by an Australian state/territory architecture authority, plus 10+ years' relevant experience, or
n
Project Management — a Diploma in Project Management plus 10+ years' experience, or CPPD/CPPE certification plus a relevant degree and 10+ years' experience, or 10+ years' relevant project management experience on its own

You'll also need to hold (or be able to obtain) a General Construction Induction Card (White Card), Asbestos Awareness Card, and Crystalline Silica Exposure Prevention Card.
n
You're a confident communicator who builds trust with stakeholders across government, industry and community, someone who takes personal ownership of outcomes, and a natural collaborator who can bring multidisciplinary teams together to solve problems and keep delivery on track.
