About the role:

At Juniper, we believe in more than just serving meals we create nourishing, welcoming dining experiences for our residents and customers. Our Rowethorpe Catering facility in Bentley is seeking a dedicated and reliable Commercial Kitchenhand to help keep our kitchen operations running smoothly.
n
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a busy, team-focused environment, takes pride in cleanliness and food safety, and enjoys supporting chefs and kitchen staff to deliver high-quality meals.
n
The successful applicant must be available to commit to the below shifts weekly:
n
Tuesday and Saturday: 9:15am- 2:30pm
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Maintain the highest standards of kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety.
n
Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
n
Assist with basic food preparation such as chopping, peeling, and portioning.
n
Support chefs and kitchen staff during service.
n




Ensure meals are delivered to Juniper sites promptly and efficiently.
n
Operate Juniper cafes, providing friendly food and beverage service.
n
Manage waste disposal and assist with receiving, unpacking, and storing deliveries.
n
Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely.
n
Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth service and great customer experiences.
n

Key Requirements:
n
n
Current driver's license – you'll be delivering meals to Juniper sites.
n
Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, café, restaurant, catering service, or other hospitality environment.
n
Barista trained.
n
Knowledge of safe food handling and hygiene practices.
n
Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced workplace.
n
Physical ability to meet the demands of the role.
n
Food Safety Handling Certificate (Level 1 or 2)
n
Certificate I or II in Kitchen Operations (or equivalent)
n
First Aid Certificate – desirable.
n
