Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our Finance Team on a fulltime basis. This role supports the end-to-end accounting function across the Bayton Group and International Hotel Services, working closely with the CFO and wider finance team.

Skills & Experience

Degree in Accounting with experience in Accounts Payable
n
Experience with ORACLE NetSuite is highly desirable
n
Strong time management and ability to meet tight deadlines
n
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
High attention to detail and accuracy
n
Strong leadership capability and teamwork skills
n
Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
n
Robust interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement
n

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Preparation and finalisation of monthly and annual consolidated financial reports
n
Manage daily financial operations, including posting transfers and NAB Connect entries
n
Support external auditors with year-end reporting and tax returns
n




Maintain financial security by following internal controls
n
Prepare monthly financial analysis and special reports
n
Process A/P invoices, payments, and bank reconciliations for all entities
n
Maintain and reconcile Balance Sheet accounts, GL, accruals, prepayments, and asset registers
n
Enter bank transactions and journals into the accounting system
n
Prepare and lodge monthly BAS and subcontractor Payroll Tax for all entities
n
Reconcile wages, Director credit cards, and intercompany loan accounts
n
Liaise with subcontractors/vendors regarding invoice and payment queries
n
Support other accounts team members and assist the CFO as required
n
