Our rapid growth means we need a strong, hands-on General Manager to take full operational control of our front‐end operations – specifically leading our Sales, Estimating, Pre‐Construction Admin, and Finance divisions.

Working as a trusted operational leader, reporting into the Franchise Owner, your primary mission will be to bring order, structure, and accountability to our office operations. We need a strong leader who can step in, set transparent expectations, clean up workflows, and hold teams accountable to performance standards.

What You'll Be Doing
n
n
Sales Leadership & Performance Acceleration: Lead, mentor, and energise our sales team. Implement structured coaching, refine lead generation strategies, enforce pipeline discipline, and rebuild consistent sales momentum to boost conversion rates and exceed targets.
n
Estimating & Pricebook Maintenance: Oversee the Estimating division to ensure fundamental processes, take‐offs, supplier pricing, and contract margin calculations are executed accurately every single time. Build and maintain a robust, healthy pricebook to guarantee precise job costing and margin protection.
n
Pre‐Construction Admin & Council Speed: Streamline pre‐construction workflows to shorten contract turnaround times. Enforce proactive, daily follow‐ups with local councils and building surveyors for faster permit approvals.
n
Financial Management & Margins: Partner with the owner to oversee budgets, monitor job profitability, control overheads, manage cash flow, and ensure tight financial reporting.
n
Performance & Accountability: Conduct structured weekly team meetings across Sales, Admin, and Estimating. Set sharp KPIs, track progress,



and foster a culture where high standards are celebrated and clear operational benchmarks are consistently met.

What You'll Bring

Proven Operational Leadership: Successful background in a General Manager, Operations Manager, or Senior Business Leadership role within residential construction or a building environment.
n
Strong Leadership & Accountability: A confident, fair, and firm leader who knows how to hold people accountable, streamline team workflows, and get back to business basics.
n
Deep Business & Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of residential sales management, estimating accuracy, maintaining pricebooks/rates, pre‐construction administration, and financial reporting.
n
Process & Systems Specialist: High proficiency with modern management software and CRM platforms, with a natural talent for finding and fixing process bottlenecks.
n
Collaborative Partner: Someone who can work seamlessly with and for a hands‐on Franchise Owner, offering supportive leadership while taking the weight of daily office management off their shoulders.
n
Essentials: A relevant Bachelor's degree (Business Administration or Construction Management) is highly regarded, along with a valid Driver's Licence and full Australian working rights.
