Ready to take ownership of a high-growth contract recruitment desk in one of Australia's most exciting technical markets? Join NES Fircroft in Sydney and play a pivotal role in delivering specialist contract talent solutions across the rapidly expanding Data Centre, Power & Renewables sectors.

You'll be responsible for developing and growing a contract recruitment desk focused on the Data Centres or Power & Renewables markets across Australia and APAC. This role combines business development, client management, contractor care, and end-to-end recruitment delivery to support some of the region's most significant infrastructure and energy projects.

What You'll Be Doing
n
n
Generate new client opportunities within the Data Centre, Critical Infrastructure, Power Generation, Grid Infrastructure, Renewables, Transmission & Distribution, Battery Storage, or related technical markets.
n
Build and manage a profitable contract recruitment desk, driving contractor headcount growth and recurring revenue streams.
n
Establish and maintain trusted relationships with hiring managers, project leaders, procurement teams, and key decision-makers.
n
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from job qualification and sourcing through to placement, onboarding, and contractor management.
n
Source, attract, interview, and assess highly skilled technical professionals across engineering, construction, commissioning, operations, and project delivery disciplines.
n
Continuously monitor market movements, competitor activity, emerging projects, and hiring trends to identify opportunities for growth.
n
Lead rate negotiations, commercial discussions, and contract terms while ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.

Partner with recruitment teams, business development professionals, and operational functions across the wider NES Fircroft network.

Build a robust candidate and client pipeline through networking, referrals, industry events, and targeted market mapping activities.

What We're Looking For
n
n
Proven experience recruiting contractors within technical, engineering, infrastructure, energy, construction,



or industrial sectors.
n
Demonstrated success placing technical professionals into project-based environments.
n
Experience within Data Centres, Power, Renewables, Utilities, Engineering, Construction, Infrastructure, Manufacturing, or adjacent technical markets is highly desirable.
n
A track record of winning new business, developing client relationships, and identifying growth opportunities.
n
Strong understanding of contract recruitment models, margins, rate negotiations, and contractor management.
n
Proven ability to establish credibility and maintain long-term relationships with both candidates and clients.
n
Track record of exceeding targets and delivering strong recruitment outcomes in a competitive market.
n
Proactive, resilient, and highly motivated with an entrepreneurial approach to business growth.
n
Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and interpersonal capabilities.
