About The Role
n
The Product Manager reports to the Director, ICT Projects and provides senior leadership in setting the strategic direction, governance and continuous improvement of the Department's Education Management System (EMS).
n
The role holds end-to-end accountability for the product vision, strategy and enterprise roadmap across all EMS applications, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, sustainable and aligned with whole-of-department priorities and long-term reform objectives.
n
The Product Manager operates as a key strategic partner across corporate functions, schools and preschools, influencing outcomes at an enterprise level. The role leads, mentors and enables application-level Product Owners, driving the successful delivery of high-value, user-centred digital products. These initiatives are critical to modernising departmental operations,



improving service delivery and supporting system-wide educational reform.

Special conditions
n
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
n
The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
n

Remuneration
n
ASO8 $130,046 - $134,956 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading
n
