Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Transport Company Manager to join our team in Coopers Plains, QLD.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our transportation operations, including managing a team of drivers, maintaining fleet vehicles, and ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise a team of drivers, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations
Develop and implement strategies to optimize transportation efficiency and reduce costs
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including road safety and transport regulations
Maintain and manage fleet vehicles, including scheduling maintenance and repairs
Ensure all vehicles are maintained and comply with Roadworthiness, OH&S; and




environment standards
Monitor and track delivery schedules and ensure on-time delivery of goods
Liaise with clients to address any issues or concerns and maintain strong relationships
Prepare and manage transportation budgets, including monitoring expenses and identifying areas for cost savings
Collaborate with other departments to improve overall company operations and customer satisfaction
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and implement best practices to improve transportation processes
Qualifications and Skills:
At least a Diploma or equivalent in the freight and transport industry
Minimum of 2 years experience of relevant experience
Strong leadership and people management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Salary and Benefits:
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of $75,000 per year, plus superannuation.
