About the Role
n
This is a highly operational leadership role requiring a strong on-farm presence and a proactive management approach.
n
You will oversee all aspects of broiler farm operations, ensuring high standards of safety, biosecurity, animal welfare, and production performance are consistently achieved.
n
The successful candidate will play a key role in leading farm teams, maintaining compliance standards, driving efficiencies, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Oversee and coordinate daily broiler farm operations to achieve production targets
n
Maintain high standards of workplace health and safety across all farm activities
n
Ensure strict compliance with biosecurity, quarantine, and animal welfare standards
n
Monitor bird health, welfare, and farm productivity outcomes
n
Oversee humane depopulation processes in line with industry regulations
n
Complete farm administration and reporting requirements accurately and on time
n
Supervise quality assurance processes and compliance with industry standards
n
Ensure adherence to OH&S; regulations and company procedures
n
Manage farm assets, maintenance schedules, and operational efficiency
n
Train, mentor, and supervise farm employees in poultry husbandry practices
n
Support sustainability initiatives including waste reduction and energy efficiency
n
Coordinate emergency response procedures and farm preparedness plans
n
n
About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
n
n
Previous experience in poultry, broiler, breeder, or livestock farm management
n
Solid hands‐on operational and leadership capability
n
Knowledge of biosecurity, animal welfare, and workplace safety standards
n
Experience managing teams within an agricultural setting
n
Strong problem‐solving, communication, and organisational skills
n
Ability to work autonomously and manage farm performance outcomes
n
