Are you passionate about cars? We are currently seeking a motivated Panel Beating Apprentice to join one of our valued local Smash Repair businesses in Cairns.
n
This is an excellent chance to become part of a highly regarded and busy workshop, gaining practical, real-world experience in the automotive repair industry while working towards a nationally recognised qualification.
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
Assist qualified tradespeople with vehicle body repairs and restoration
n
Learn to repair, replace and refinish damaged vehicle panels
n
Assist with workshop operations, including moving vehicles in and out of work bays
n
Prepare vehicles
n
Safely use hand and power tools under supervision
n
Carry out vehicle detailing and ensure cars are ready for customer collection
n
Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment, including end-of-day clean-up
n
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures at all times
n
Applicants Must Meet the Following Criteria:
n
Be an Australian Citizen or hold Permanent Residency
n
Hold a minimum P Plate Manual driver's licence
n
Demonstrate a strong interest in automotive and panel beating
n
Have a positive attitude with good communication skills
n
Be reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
n
Demonstrate attention to detail and willingness to learn the trade
n
Be able to work in a fast-paced workshop environment
n
Adhere to workplace health and safety requirements and follow workshop operation requirement at all times
n
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications:
n
Previous labouring or trade assistant experience in automotive
n
