About the Role
n
As a Seasonal Ocean Lifeguard, you'll be responsible for:
n
n
Promoting beach and water safety through public education and engagement
n
Responding quickly and professionally to emergencies and rescue situations
n
Actively monitoring beach conditions and identifying potential risks
n
Maintaining and securing lifesaving equipment and facilities
n
Supporting compliance with state and local beach safety regulations
n
n
About You
n
You'll be passionate about community safety and confident in energetic beach environments. You bring a calm, professional approach, strong teamwork skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional public service.

To be successful, you'll have:
n
n




PUA***** Certificate III in Public Safety (Aquatic Search and Rescue), or willingness to obtain within three months of commencing employment
n
Current HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
n
Current HLTAID015 Provide advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy
n
Current NSW Class C Driver Licence
n
Current NSW General Boat Driving Licence and Personal Watercraft (PWC) Driving Licence
n
Current NSW Working with Children Check clearance for paid employment
n
n
n
Interview Date: Interviews will be facilitated on first week of September. Physical competency assessments will be facilitated on Saturday 5th September.
n
Package and Hours of work: Seasonal - $81,866 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation. Temporary Full Time (September **** - April ****), 38 hours per week, 9 day fortnight. Available to work over 7 day spread. Weekend penalty rates paid for weekends and public holidays worked
n

Please note: As selected applicants progress through the recruitment process, a requirement to participate in fitness testing (800m pool swim & ocean lifeguard mission) will take place Saturday 5th September from 8:00 am.
n
Suitable candidates are subject to pre-employment screening which includes Reference Checks, Work Rights Verification, Identity and Functional/Medical History Checks (including Covid-19 Vaccination), and may also include a Criminal History, Qualification and Working with Children Check. Employment is subject to clearance of all these checks.
