What You'll Be Doing
n
n
Building secure, trusting, and respectful relationships with young people
n
Providing day‐to‐day care, structure, and emotional support in the home
n
Supporting young people to develop life skills, confidence, independence, and positive identity
n
Responding calmly and professionally to distress, behaviours of concern,



and emotional needsSupporting connection with family, culture, school, and community
n
Working collaboratively with team members, Team Leaders, families, schools, and external
servicesMaintaining
clear, accurate, and timely records, recognising documentation is a part of quality care
n
Being a positive role model who demonstrates consistency, boundaries, and care
n
n
What We're Looking For
n
Essential:
n
n
Certificate IV or higher in Youth Work, Community Services, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
n
Minimum 1 year experience working with young people
n
A genuine willingness to provide high‐quality care
n
Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust and rapport
n
An understanding of trauma‐informed practice and child‐centred care
n
A respectful, culturally safe approach when working with First Nations young people
n
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
n
Willingness to receive feedback and engage in reflective practice
n
n
Other requirements:
n
n
Current driver's licence
n
Willingness to obtain a National Police Check and Working with Children Check
n
Australian citizenship or permanent residency
n
n
