Primarily as a Plant
Manager/Batcher/Driver
at a Tegra Concrete Plant, however other duties include: staff supervision; job allocations, sales, servicing customer needs, work in a safe manner, front-end loader operation and batching, cleaning and maintaining all plant and equipment, maintain a clean presentable workplace, completing clerical duties, any other duties as directed and to work and co-operate as a productive team member of the Tegra group.

Hands on Duties Include but are not limited to:
n
n
Staff supervision and job allocations, attend to customer needs, answer phone calls;
n
Investigate and promote sales in the local area, give customer support and advice;
n
Operate front-end loader, delivery trucks (concrete agitators and tippers), ensure vehicles, plant, equipment and yard clean and presentable at all times;
n
House keeping duties such as, sweeping the yard area, keeping product bins stocked and tidy, removing waste concrete and slurry, mowing lawns, removing rubbish, cleaning workshop, office and amenities;
n
Operate concrete batching plant, including maintenance, ordering supplies, ie, sand, aggregate, cement, admixtures, additives, landscape products, consumables etc;
n
Liaise and co-operate with other Plant managers with servicing large jobs, truck transfers, staff absences etc. This may require early starts, late finishes and possibly staying away overnight.

Closing and securing the premises at the end of each day;

Clerical Duties Include:
n
n
Ensure all work that you do is invoiced in the appropriate Invoice / Delivery / Receipt book,
and C.O.D monies are collected and returned to the plant;
n
Receive payments from Customers on site and over counter, ie, Account Payments, C.O.D payments, cash sales, cheques, EFTPOS, etc.
n
Complete and submit purchase orders & invoices, stocktakes, diesel fuel records, weekly and monthly reports, Maintenance Management documentation, WHS documentation etc.

General:
n

Conduct regular safety and toolbox meetings in accordance with Tegra WHS Policy and Procedures;
n
Commit to always providing the highest level of customer service;
n
Ensure at all times you are neatly dressed and presented in accordance with company policy and procedure;
n
Conduct yourself in a proper and skilled manner in accordance with company policy and procedure;
n
Work in a safe manner in accordance with company WHS policy and procedures;
n
Attend training seminars or courses as required;
n
Complete in-house induction and training;
n
n
Qualifications:
n
n
Hold a current Drivers Licence, minimum standard of HR; possess a NHVR National Driver Work Diary;
n
Have General Induction White Card;
n
Competency for Front Loader operation;
n
Forklift operator's licence preferable;
n
Have a knowledge and understanding of the WH&S; requirements. (Periodic attendance of training courses may be required);
n
Industry experience preferred;
n
n
Reporting:
n
n
Report directly to the 'Concrete Manager' or in his absence to senior management;
n
Liaise with the 'Fleet Manager' with regard to servicing, maintenance and breakdown of plant and equipment.
