Mechanical Trade Assistant - Undercarriage
n
Reporting to the Undercarriage Manager, you'll join our South Guildford Workshop as part of a supportive team responsible for maintaining and rebuilding Caterpillar undercarriage components.

Roster
n
5 days on, 2 days off (Monday to Friday)
n
2 weeks day shift 6:00am - 2:30pm
n
2 weeks afternoon shift 2:00pm - 10:30pm
n
What You'll Do
n
Our Undercarriage Repair Team specialises in the inspection, maintenance and restoration of critical Cat undercarriage systems used in heavy machinery and tracked equipment. Working in a supportive team environment, you'll learn valuable skills while contributing to the quality and reliability of Caterpillar equipment used across mining, construction and infrastructure industries.

Responsibilities

n
Disassemble, inspect and rebuild Caterpillar undercarriage components
n
Work as part of a collaborative team to repair and restore components using established processes and quality standards
n
Operate welding equipment and machinery to complete repairs (training provided where required)
n
Learn from experienced technicians in a supportive workshop environment
n
Work both indoors and outdoors as components move through various stages of the repair process
n
Maintain a safe, clean and organised work area
n
Follow safety procedures and contribute to a positive safety culture
n
Contribute to a team that values respect, inclusion, continuous improvement and quality workmanship
n

Highly Regarded

Forklift Licence
n
Experience in a workshop, manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, maintenance, automotive, agricultural, construction or trade workplace

Welding experience

Dogging qualification
