This is an exciting opportunity for a Behaviour Therapist to join an established provider delivering allied health and behavioural support within government and non-government schools.
n
You'll work directly within several schools across Fairfield supporting children, adolescents and young adults to improve their participation, independence, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
n
This is a full-time, school-based position offering a consistent weekly schedule and the opportunity to develop meaningful, ongoing relationships with students and school communities.
n
The caseload is predominantly based within the Fairfield area:
n
n
Four days per week across schools in Fairfield
n
Two days are based at the same Fairfield school
n
The remaining two Fairfield days are each based at separate schools
n
One day per week is based at a school in Campbelltown
n
n
Most of the caseload is based within high schools, with one primary school included.
n
About the Role
n
Working within each school, you'll deliver evidence-based behavioural support tailored to the needs of individual students.
n
Your responsibilities may include:
n
n
Providing individual and small-group behaviour therapy
n
Supporting students with emotional regulation, communication and social participation
n
Conducting behavioural observations within classroom and school environments
n
Identifying the function of behaviours and contributing to appropriate intervention strategies
n




Implementing and monitoring behaviour support programs
n
Collecting and reviewing behavioural data
n
Supporting students to develop practical skills and greater independence
n
Collaborating with teachers, learning support teams, parents and other allied health professionals
n
Providing practical strategies that can be implemented consistently across school and home environments
n
Maintaining accurate clinical notes and documentation
n
Contributing to a positive and inclusive school environment
n
n
The Model
n
The model focuses on supporting students, teachers and families through practical, team-oriented and holistic services delivered within the environments where students learn and participate.
n
The broader team includes professionals across Behaviour Therapy, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Counselling and other allied health disciplines.
n
To be considered for this position, you must have:
n
n
Completed a degree in psychology or counselling
n
A current NSW Working With Children Check
n
A current National Police Check and NDIS Clearance
n
Previous experience supporting children, adolescents or young adults
n
An understanding of evidence-based behavioural principles and interventions
n
Strong written and verbal communication skills
n
The ability to engage positively with students, families and education professionals
n
n
