Your New Role
n
The Desktop Support Engineer will provide the first line of support for a user community of 200 seats. This role will see you work across end-user devices, infrastructure and software applications, ensuring reliability and performance.
n
Reporting to the IT Manager and working closely with the System Administrator, you will be responsible for the following:
n
n
Respond to all IT support requests, resolving level 1-2 issues independently.
n
Logging tickets using Jira
n
Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and related peripherals.
n
Support end-user applications (Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, VPN, business apps).
n
Troubleshoot both wired and wireless connectivity issues.
n
Assess the complexity of each issue and escalation as required.
n




Maintain asset registers for the IT environment.
n
Ensure endpoint compliance with security policies (antivirus, updates, encryption).
n
Play an active role in IT projects such as new hardware roll outs, implementations, location changes etc

About You
n
n
Holding a formal IT qualification or working towards.
n
You hold or are studying towards industry certifications such as ITIL foundation, CompTIA A+, Microsoft MD-102 or similar.
n
Have prior experience as a Level 1 / 2 Helpdesk support in an MSP or similar sized corporate.
n
You bring 'hands on' experience supporting Windows Servers ******) including Active Directory.
n
Your primary skills and knowledge are with Microsoft products (Azure AD, Azure virtual desktop, SQL Server, Sharepoint & O365).
n
You have a stable work history where you have honed your skills with the Microsoft technologies as well as ERP and CRM systems.
n
You are a proactive communicator who shows initiative in the way you perform your role
