Community Facilities Officer Ballina Shire Council | Grade 7 | Full Time |3-6 months

Ballina Shire Council is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Community Facilities Officerto support the day-to-day operations of our community and cultural venues across the shire.
n
Based across facilities including the Ballina Indoor Sports Centre, Alstonville Cultural Centre and Lennox Head Cultural Centre, this diverse role combines customer service, administration, facility operations and event support.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Provide exceptional customer service to facility users and visitors.
n
Manage bookings, enquiries, invoicing and administrative tasks.
n
Assist with venue hire coordination, events and community programs.
n
Set up and pack down rooms and equipment for functions and activities.
n
Maintain facility presentation through general cleaning and tidying.
n
Support volunteers and contribute to a positive team environment.
n

About You
n
You will have:
n
n




Strong customer service and administrative experience.
n
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
n
Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
A Class C Driver Licence.
n
Willingness to undertake manual handling tasks and work across various Council facilities.
n
n
Experience in events, marketing, social media, volunteer supervision, commercial cleaning, First Aid and basic AV systems will be highly regarded.
n
This position requires flexibility to work weekends, evenings and public holidays as required, and to work at various locations throughout the Ballina Shire.
