Apprentice Painter – 1st, 2nd or 3rd Year

O.A Painting & Decorating is looking for a reliable and motivated 1st, 2nd or 3rd-Year Apprentice Painter to join our team full-time.
n
We are an Illawarra-based painting business completing high-quality new builds, residential repaints, renovations and commercial projects throughout the region.
n
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to properly learn the trade, develop their skills and build a long-term career in painting and decorating.
n
THE ROLE
n
You'll be involved in all stages of painting and decorating, including:
n

Preparing and protecting work areas
n
Sanding, patching, filling and caulking
n
Brush and roller application
n
Learning spray-painting techniques
n
Painting walls, ceilings, doors, trims and exterior surfaces
n
Working across new builds, repaints, renovations and commercial projects
n
Keeping worksites, tools and equipment clean and organised
n
n
As your skills develop, you'll be given more responsibility and the opportunity to complete a wider range of work.

Is reliable, punctual and ready to work
n




Takes pride in their work and has strong attention to detail
n
Is willing to learn, follow instructions and improve
n
Has a positive attitude and works well as part of a team
n
Is physically fit and comfortable working from ladders and scaffolding
n
Holds a valid driver's licence and has reliable transport
n
Holds a current Construction White Card
n
n
Previous painting or construction experience is beneficial but not essential for a 1st-year applicant. Existing apprentices must be able to provide details of their current apprenticeship and completed training.
